Happy National Water a Flower Day!
In Poppy & Posie’s “Watering Can Ballet,” the Blossom Sisters sing and dance with their watering cans, celebrating the joy of caring for flowers so they may grow and blossom. But did you know, Poppy & Posie's "Watering Can Ballet" is not only inspired by the Blossom Sisters' tradition of dancing ballet each morning while watering their flowers, but also by the classic standard of always having watering cans in ballet rehearsal rooms?
Watering cans in ballet studios were used to sprinkle water on the floor in an effort to prevent dust from forming under the dancers' feet. Also, as seen in Edgar Degas' painting to the right, the shape of the watering can charmingly resembles a position a ballerina might have at the barre!
